All These Superwomen......

I am on the hunt early this morning, not to copy anyone's work, but to get some idea of what a crafty blogger does on her blog page. There seem to be too many Super-women out there. Congrats to you all! When I was much, much younger and raising kids, I did not even have the time to create a baby book for babies #2 and 3, let alone get much crafting done. How do these young crafting mommies do it! i am now a gramma of 12 and I think I am doomed at this blogging stuff. i can't even pick a topic for my blog. Live and learn? Well, at 67 years old that hasn't worked either. So, here's the deal, if anyone, anyone, is out there in blogging land reading this, please help me out. My list of ideas follows: 1. Pick a blogging topic. I have tried a few to no avail. HELP HELP HELP (even in creating crafts, this is the zone I just cannot get beyond, or even enter, THE CREATIVITY ZONE! Are you born with it? How do you get there? Where do you super-women even find the time for it? That's it. That is MY list. Can you believe it?

Graceline: october Surprises

Graceline: october Surprises

october Surprises

At the Sierra Foothill retreat maybe for the last time this year. the bear had been here yet again and actually took away my suet feeder that I got from a dear friend. it is gone! But I did find my metal feeder and put it on a pulley even higher this time. I put up three blocks of suet too and I watched the birds come all day long; even got some good photos. Aren't the bears supposed to hibernate soon? the deer got fresh salt licks for the winter and a big bag of food. ............ on to crafts, which I always find inspiration for up here. i have had quite a few orders for my Kusudama flowers as of late. This is from gracelinepaperstudio.etsy.com shop. The latest is for the red and green Kusudama groups. i was able to fold them while here but could not secure the glue. Forgot the paper clips. Good project for Sunday. i will mail them off early next week. Good communication has always been important to me, so I email my customers regularly. ........ i revamped my other etsy site. Gracelinestudio.etsy.com. i love the items on there, but get few hits, so I changed the titles of the items and changed most hit words too. i added sac etsy group to almost all items. ........ Now I will begin again my Christmas card and gifts. it will be a busy fall; off to Minnesota, my homeland, for a visit end of month, then mid November off to Boston to help my daughter as she will be giving birth to twins. That will make an even dozen grandkids for us. i will end on that blessed note.

September Morn

Here it is September already and I have not posted since spring. Whatever happened to summer of 2010? I have a new ipad, which, when typing, always wants to put extra letters in. I have a new Etsy shop - gracelinepaperstudio.etsy.com. Suddenly I have sales. I have had an Etsy store for more than a year now and no sales. Suddenly I was inspired by someone along the way, to make Kusudama flowers and flower balls. Now I am up to my ears in folding 320 and 90 kusudama flowers for two weddings. I am making money on Etsy. And I am not sure how it happened. But suffice it to say I even consulted the Master regarding business decisions, so maybe that helped. Need I say more?

Some New Projects

Been Awhile! Now I am the proud gramma of 10! Samantha Rose #10. What a blessing. I have been to the Sierra Foothill forest property twice now; last year I missed the blooming of the spring bulbs but how lucky I was to find the daffodils, hyacinths, and muscari all blooming on my first visit. I filled the bird feeders and on the 2nd visit the Stellar Jay was proudly taking over the feeder. He is a majestic beauty and quite aggressive. On the 2nd visit I heard and then saw the deer stomping. I let the spring sun shine on my shoulders and thanked God for this special retreat where I do my crafts and relax. Tea-bag folding is still foremost on my 'fun' list of things to do, but I also beaded up a few more angels and even butterflies and dragonflies. These will be posted shortly. Back home in the Sacramento valley on the farm I am collecting lavender flowers and roses to dry. I have planted lettuce, picked some meager rhubarb, put in a few peppers and tomatoes, checked my potato plants that are doing pretty good, and held my breath at the site of poppies and bachelor buttons in bloom.
